Scattered Seeds . . . . A Message For My Boys

**********************************************

Dad’s Message:

Take my scattering seeds, of love, life and laughter,

Skip happily away, taking ourselves lightly,

As torches, touches of kindness and love,

Cups of goodness and joy, overflow, mingling the mix,

That makes life rich.

Tapestries - know no weaver,

But his shutters flow to and fro,

And at a stroke a thousand threads are wed,

And the head which the heart takes apart,

Knows no bounds and no hedge,

Can hem us in - indeed there is no hedge.

Trust him, love him, honour him, know him,

Give him charge.

Sons - Daniel & Robert - Your Legacy:

My scattered seeds - do take hold,

In their bold bright ways - they depart,

To find a new soil, brave new worlds.

And one seed or two - carries my hope, far,

Two happy tree’s, held in their generation,

Making my joy complete.

You my sons - will take the torch,

And light the frown ablaze,

Knowing the seed I found remains,

Jesus, amazing with brave hope and joy,

And love surrounds us to this day.

Boys - I will love you - till the cows come home,

And when you wake early,

Know - that I awoke before dawn, before you,

I listened to the Robins - mine - and yours,

And they spoke - of yours and my good future,

That you would be fine - as am I,

As was my dad - your dad before you,

The seed, was sown, and the soil was good,

We had our day, and so will you,

Know that days never end - where we go,

The light never dims - and the Robin,

And me, this fair breasted friend, reminds me of you,

And you of I. Our love my boys -

Will never die. XXXXXXXX
